Laity telling our story – Part 2: Continuing our journey of faith, connection, and sharing
By Jessica White, Conference Lay Leader | Email

At the 2026 Upper New York Annual Conference Laity Session, we began an important conversation through our training and tabletop session, Telling Our Story. Together, we explored the power of sharing our faith stories and how our personal experiences can inspire, encourage, and connect us with others.
As promised, your Board of Laity is excited to offer Part 2 of this training!
We invite you to join us for an interactive Zoom session as we continue exploring how to share our stories of faith, discipleship, and God's work in our lives.
Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026 Time: 9 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Location: Online via Zoom: Register here Registration Deadline: November 7, 2026
Our Focus: Who We Are, Why We Show Up, and How We Share
During this session, we will explore three important questions:
Who We Are: Understanding our faith journeys and recognizing how God has been at work in our lives.
Why We Show Up: Reflecting on what calls us to serve, participate, and live out our faith in our churches and communities.
How We Share: Learning ways to confidently and authentically share our stories with others.

Every one of us has a story worth sharing. Our stories are powerful testimonies of God's grace, love, and presence in our everyday lives. When we share them, we build relationships, strengthen our faith communities, and help others recognize God's work in their own lives.
Whether you participated in Part 1 at Annual Conference or are joining us for the first time, we welcome you to be part of this conversation.

Come ready to reflect, connect, learn, and share!
Together, we can continue to Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously as we share our stories and live out our calling to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Your story matters. Your voice matters. And someone may need to hear the story only you can tell.
