
ABOUT US
The Upper New York Conference is part of the Susquehanna & Upper New York Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church. In 2026, the Upper New York Annual Conference adopted a Spirit-led Strategic Visioning and Planning Process, establishing a shared framework to guide the conference's ministries, priorities, and faithful witness in the years ahead.

MISSION & VISION STRATEGY OVERVIEW
The Strategic Visioning and Planning Process will:

Secure input from clergy, laity, elected conference leaders, staff, ministry partners, community members, and other key stakeholders.

Assess the strengths, opportunities, aspirations, and desired results for the Upper New York Conference.

Explore and identify opportunities for collaboration with our missional partner, the Susquehanna Conference, that enable amplified impact and good stewardship.

Recommend the 2026 Annual Conference session with a Ministry Action Plan.

Missional strategic direction with appropriate goals, objectives, and actionable strategies for the next three to five years.

VISIONING TASK FORCE TEAM
Serving on behalf of the Conference Leadership Team, this group is listening deeply to the voices across the conference and to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
