DIGITAL DISCIPLESHIP

Digital discipleship in the United Methodist context refers to forming, nurturing, and equipping disciples of Jesus Christ through online spaces and digital communication. It involves using digital tools to share the gospel, foster Christian community, support spiritual growth, and engage others in mission and service—so that lives and communities are transformed by God’s love.

DIGITAL AGE

The COVID-19 pandemic pushed many congregations fully online—and in doing so, it opened new doors. Churches that once had no digital presence are now streaming worship, receiving online donations, and connecting with people well beyond their physical walls.

In turn, not only are homebound church members able to engage in their church's worship services, but also, there are visitors from counties, states, and even countries away from churches' physical locations, engaging in Upper New York Conference worship opportunities.
