RESPONDING WITH COMPASSION AND CARE

Suicide affects individuals, families, congregations, and communities around the world. As people navigate mental health challenges, grief, and crisis, faith leaders are often called upon to offer care, guidance, and support. Yet research shows that while many churchgoers expect churches to address these issues, many clergy do not feel adequately equipped to respond.

To help address this need, the E. Stanley Jones Foundation, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM), and Global Ministries developed this resource to equip clergy and church leaders with practical tools, faith-based perspectives, and guidance for recognizing warning signs, responding with compassion, and connecting individuals with appropriate support and care.

SUICIDE PREVENTION VIDEO TRAINING COURSE
