2026 LEADERSHIP GATHERING
The Council of Bishops is hosting a Leadership Gathering in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from October 20-24, 2026 in place of a Special Session of General Conference. The 2026 Leadership Gathering of the Upper New York Annual Conference brings together United Methodist bishops, clergy, and lay leaders from across the region to share vision, imagination, and direction for the future of the church. This connection-wide event strengthens leadership across congregations and supports the mission of The United Methodist Church.
WEBINARS
United Methodist Communications hosted three webinars open to all United Methodists in recent months. These webinars focused on how the vision statement’s call to “love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously” connects back to the denomination’s mission and Wesleyan theology. The webinars were free, and recordings were made available publicly. Each was roughly an hour and a half in length.
