    UNY ERT and volunteers give hope to Mohawk District storm survivors

    Almost a month after the Halloween storm and subsequent Sauquoit creek flooding throughout the Mohawk District, many residents are still without heat, water, or electricity. Over 100 residents experienced flood waters that filled their basements from floor to ceiling and up to the top of the floorboards or higher on the first floor.     Upper New York Red Bird Mission Shoebox Campaign seeking drop-off locations

Red Bird Mission is a poverty-relief organization that serves a remote, impoverished population in Bell, Clay, and Leslie counties in southeastern Kentucky.     Hurricane Dorian has devastated the Bahamas, especially the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama.
