Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM)
Conference Council on Youth Ministries
CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministries) is a leadership team comprised of youth from throughout the Upper New York Conference. With the support of adult coordinators each youth works through a team of their choice to design and present events to help guide youth on their personal spiritual journey.
This group of young people in grade 7-12 have the opportunity to express themselves and make new friends. They are welcomed with open arms and accepted and loved. Not only are they a leadership team, but a family joined by the everlasting bonds of friendship.
Given the current environment of health concerns, particularly around the COVID-19 virus also known as the Coronavirus, the Conference Council on Youth Ministries is postponing OUTWARD! 2020 that was to be held this weekend, March 13-15. In the coming weeks we will announce new dates for this event. Questions may be directed to Tony Hipes, 607-624-2989 or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Our multi-district youth event was held at Rush UMC and Faith UMC with 7 churches represented. Our ‘journey’ started with worship and games at Rush and then moved to Faith for more games, dinner and closing worship.
Thanks to all the adults and CCYM youth for making this event successful.
Cornerstone/Mountain View Districts
Saturday, November 23
Cornerstone and Mountain View Districts held a regional youth gathering at Christ UMC in Olean NY. There were 24 youth and 11 adults representing 7 different churches. We worshiped, held family group, participated in 2 workshops (How do I pray? & How can I be filled with the holy spirit?), ate great snacks and lunch, and played lots of 9 square in the air!
Youth adults really enjoyed themselves and grew closer to Christ. We are so thankful we did this!
