Gouverneur First UMC expands “We’ve Got Your Back” Program amid evolving community needs

In a desire to help alleviate the overwhelming cost of school supplies, the Gouverneur First United Methodist Church began their in-person “We’ve Got Your Back” program in 2011 to help minimize the burden facing families. Youth often remark that they are seen, but not heard. That was not the case at the 2024 Northeastern Jurisdictional (NEJ) Conference, held July 8-12 in Pittsburgh, PA. Nineteen youth representatives took part in the NEJ Conference.
