Season of Play worship toolkit

Season of Play is a month-long, low-barrier toolkit designed to help congregations rediscover joy, connection, and healing together. Created especially for pastors and preachers, this resource invites churches out of survival mode and into a lived witness of the good news—that God is joyful and present, and that life together in Christ can be playful, intergenerational, and welcoming. Through simple, screen-light practices in worship and at home, Season of Play models a church culture marked by laughter, low stakes, and high grace, where God meets us in delight.

At a time when leaders are overextended and communities are weary, Season of Play offers a gentle on-ramp to renewal without adding to the workload. Pastors download the toolkit, select the elements that fit their context, and invite their congregation to try one small act of play each week—such as a joy inventory, doodle challenge, or chalk prayer.
