    MOP2021 still accepting applications

March 5, 2020 / By Ted Anderson and Heather Stierheim MOP Co-ordinators

Editor's Note: The original plan for Mission of Peace 2021 was to travel to China; due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, this trip may or may not change. Please note that there will still be a Mission of Peace trip, but there may be a location and timeframe change. In the meantime, the NEJ MOP Co-coordinators are still accepting MOP applications; youth can click here to apply.

The NEJCYM Mission of Peace is still making plans for MOP 2021.  We have been in contact with the China Christian Council (CCC) who hosts us and helps to plan our trip.  They have suggested waiting a bit longer to see how things with international travel may have changed.  We will make a final decision regarding travel to China by April.  The MOP is prepared to change country locations or postpone this year’s trip depending on the CDC recommendations and close communication with our host country.

In the meantime, we are still taking applications for the Mission of Peace.  It is our hope that you will help us to do so within your Conferences. We would encourage you to reach out to youth that may be interested or show signs of leadership for this type of experience.

It will be important to inform the youth that the place, China, may change.  And be sure that they know that we are prayerfully determining the next steps for this year’s trip.

Thank you for all that you do in ministry with Youth!  We are grateful for your ministry!
