    September 9, 2020 / By UNY Communications

This fall, the Upper New York Conference is launching trainings in the area of digital discipleship. In October and November, trainings will be provided on online giving, Facebook, and Zoom. The Rev. BJ Norrix will be teaching the online training on how to get started with online giving.

Click here for a video that Rev. Norrix, lead pastor for the Syracuse United Methodist ministries, has provided us with. He explains how encouraging his congregants at Erwin UMC to give via Tithely, an online giving platform, has increased giving in his church.

Keep watching the UNY Conference communication channels for information regarding the digital discipleship trainings, which will take place later this fall.

With more than 144,000 members, the Upper New York Annual (Regional) Conference of The United Methodist Church comprises 865 local churches and 91 new faith communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state. Our mission is to “live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God’s love with our neighbors in all places."
