Rev. Wayne Butler to fly on Darien Lake’s Redhawk Bungee Jump

June 24, 2016 / By Shannon Hodson / .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

In the fall of 2015, The Rev. Wayne Butler, District Superintendent of the Niagara District, set a challenge for the district’s churches to raise $20,000 for Africa 360. He said that if they met the challenge, he would do the bungee jump at Darien Lake. The churches more than surpassed his challenge!  Rev. Wayne will be going to Darien Lake for the payoff - he will fly on the Redhawk bungee jump!

Come be part of the group to see the jump in person on Saturday, July 23 as close to 12:00 noon as possible. Bring your whole family and make a day of it!

You can get group tickets for $17.99 each (60% off regular admission; no sales tax) if you order them through the Niagara Frontier District Office. Send in an order to Julie Maciejewski  (Niagara Frontier District, 47 Cayuga Road, Suite 70, Cheektowaga, NY  14225-1900) with payment  from your church or on your own.  Make checks out to Darien Lake. Tickets will then be mailed to the Niagara Frontier District Office. Once Julie Maciejewski has them, you will be notified to make arrangements to get your tickets. Orders must be received by Friday, July 9. After that, tickets are still available, but contact Julie on how to do get them.

The UNY Communications team plans to film the event and post it on the Conference website.

Keep a look out for this exciting story and we hope to see you at Darien Lake! Spectators are encouraged to bring signs supporting Rev. Wayne’s jump!

If you have any questions or would like to jump with Wayne, contact Julie in the Niagara Frontier District Office at 716-276-8631.
