Help the UNY Media Resource Center continue its ministry in 2022

Does your church use resources for small groups, curriculums for children and adults, Lent studies, Vacation Bible School kits, or perhaps Wesleyan history studies for new members?

The Upper New York (UNY) Conference Resource Center is a great place to turn for thousands of resources, including popular studies created by Adam Hamilton, Amy-Jill Levine, Matt Rawle, Max Lucado and John Ortberg.

As you may know, the funding for our Conference Media Resource Center was not included in the 2022 Conference Shared Ministries Budget. A group of Conference members have been meeting to ensure the continuation of this vital ministry resource.

Since the Media Resource Center does not have a budget for 2022 to purchase new resources, we are asking churches who have benefited from this ministry to support it with a financial contribution.

The committee for the Media Resource Center is asking you to donate at least $100 toward purchasing new resources next year.  If your church can contribute more than this, we would be grateful for your additional generosity. Your help is vital to keep this mission active and current.

You can make your check payable to the “Upper New York Conference,” and note it is for the “Media Resource Center” on the memo line.  A gift by the end of the year would help us purchase Lenten resources for next year. Checks should be sent to The UNY Conference, 7481 Henry Clay Blvd, Liverpool, NY 13088.

The Rev. Bill Gottschalk-Fielding, Director of Connectional Ministries and Assistant to the Bishop, said, “I was grateful when the Rev. Linda Haight, the Rev. Sharon Rankins-Burd, and Sheila Rader contacted me after Annual Conference to discuss how we could continue the ministry of the Media Resource Center.  This ministry plays an important role in the work of spiritual formation and Christian education in many of our churches.  If at least 120 of our local churches can donate at least $100 toward new resources in 2022, we can make sure this great ministry continues.”

Please direct any questions to our committee members:

We thank you in advance for your support to keep this vital ministry thriving in 2022.
