The Upper New York Conference Camp & Retreat Ministries (CRM) is pleased to announce that Scott Henderson will serve as the CRM Manager of Operations. His first day at the Conference will be March 14.

The position of CRM Director of Program and Outreach was reconfigured into the position of Manager of Operations. Because of this transition, Henderson will focus on administrative and management details related to the overall CRM operation, which will enable Conference CRM Director Mike Huber to focus on the development of staff and resources, while also continuing to focus on mission effectiveness and expansion.

Henderson has more than 15 years of nonprofit and faith-based camp and retreat mission and ministry experience at several sites throughout the United States. He also has 15 years of business leadership experience, including starting and running his own company. The combination of business and faith-based nonprofit experience equips him to be proactive and responsive in meeting constituent needs and developing significant camp, conference and retreat facilities, operations and services.

“Scott has a vast knowledge of Camp & Retreat Ministries and non-profit management,” Huber said. “His experience and skill set, combined with his love of ministry, will be a welcome addition to the team.”

Henderson was ordained as an elder in the Presbyterian Church in the early 1980s and has been continuously active in mission and ministry. He served on several non-profit boards, developed and led a variety of outreach and mission programs, and has led U.S. and international mission trips. Henderson serves on the planning teams for two ecumenical CRM  leadership development and certification programs.
