Welcome to the Oneonta District of Upper New York. The more than 40 churches in our district are in New York's Leatherstocking region, the home of James Fennimore Cooper. The waters that flow through our area move north via the Schoharie Valley to the Mohawk and Hudson rivers, and south to the Susquehanna River enroute to the Chesapeake Bay. 

United Methodists here in our small cities and towns, villages and hamlets are part of the United Methodist connection that is living the gospel of Jesus Christ and being God’s love with our neighbors in all places.  If you are new to our area, welcome; we invite you to connect with our ministries and missions.
