    Online Giving

    Many churches who rely on in-person donations are looking for alternative ways to receive funding during the COVID-19 pandemic. The following is a list of online giving tools that are used by not-for-profit organizations, including churches.

    Donorbox: https://donorbox.org/

    • Add a donation button to your website
    • Accepts one time and monthly recurring donations
    • Take payments using credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, low-fee ACH & SEPA bank transfers, Google Pay, and PayPal
    • It’s free if you collect less than $1,000 a month, otherwise there’s a 1.5% platform fee

    Vanco: https://www.vancopayments.com/

    • Add a donation button to your website
    • Accept donations online through your website, Vanco's mobile app, or by text messaging
    • Download the app in Google Play or in the App Store, find your church, and donate
    • Accept one-time or recurring donations
    • Plans start as low as $10/month for churches that receive less than $20,000 a month

    Facebook

    • Log into Facebook then go to https://www.facebook.com/donate/signup to apply
    • You’ll need to the following information to submit a request for a not-for-profit organization donate button:
      • Be a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS.
      • Have a tax ID number.
      • Have a bank account registered with a licensed financial services institution. Bank account details, including the bank name, bank account holder's name (organization's name), and a legible and official bank letter or statement dated within the last 3 months.
      • The date of birth and address of the charity's CEO or executive director.
      • Once approved, you’ll be able to add a “donate” button to your church’s Facebook page.

    • Donations are deposited right into your church’s bank account
    • One plan has a $0 startup cost. Add to text giving option for $19 a month

    Pushpay: https://pushpay.com/

    • Accept donations through your website, mobile app, or through text messaging
    • One time and recurring donations accepted
    • Create a custom thank you message to donors
    • Create and send giving statements, including quarterly and end of year statements
    • Contact Pushpay for a quote depending on services

    PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/us/non-profit/fundraising/fundraising-online

    • Add a donation button to your website
    • Accept major credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal
    • Chose which donation amount options you want to offer donors
    • Allow donors to donate to specific programs
    • Accept recurring donations
    • Low friction donation processing capability with support for email, QR codes, and shareable URLs
