Hungry people around the world need your help.

A goal has been set to package 150,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now at this year’s Annual Conference session. Each meal costs 29 cents and feeds one family. At this price, the Conference must raise $43,500 to reach the meal-packaging goal.

"When you're writing a check to go to organization, you're a couple of arms' length away," said the Rev. Jeff Childs, who chairs the Global Ministries Team. "With this, you're not even arm's length away. Your fingerprints are on what will be given into someone else's hands."

Stop Hunger Now strives to “end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources,” according to its website. Since its founding in 1998, the nonprofit organization has provided more than 180 million meals in 65 countries.

However, Stop Hunger Now depends on the generosity of donors to continue its mission, and the Upper New York Conference needs the help of its members to reach its goal and impact the lives of the hungry worldwide. You can make a difference with any donation amount. Click here to make a donation.
