Safe Sanctuaries® Training Opportunities

The Upper New York Conference is offering the upcoming Safe Sanctuaries® training opportunities. Registration for each event opens one month prior to the training date. If you have questions, email to safesanctuaries@unyumc.org.

Basic Safe Sanctuaries Training via Zoom from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This 3.5 hour course is for all clergy and anyone working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults. The link to register will be provided when registration opens. 

• Saturday, May 4: register here
• Saturday, August 3: registration opens July 3
• Saturday, November 2: registration opens October 2

Training of Trainers (TOT) via Zoom from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

This training is for anyone who would like to become a church or district Safe Sanctuaries® trainers in Upper New York. In order to become at TOT, you must have completed the 3.5 hour basic training previously.
