Safe Sanctuaries® Training Opportunities

The Upper New York Conference is offering the upcoming Safe Sanctuaries® training opportunities. Registration for each event opens one month prior to the training date. If you have questions, email to safesanctuaries@unyumc.org.

Basic Safe Sanctuaries Training via Zoom from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This 3.5 hour course is for all clergy and anyone working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults. There is no cost to take the basic course. The link to register will be provided when registration opens. 

• Saturday, February 1: register here
• Saturday, May 3: registration opens April 1
• Saturday, August 2: registration opens July 1
• Saturday, November 1: registration opens October 1

Training of Trainers (TOT) via Zoom from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

This training is for anyone who would like to become a church or district Safe Sanctuaries® trainer in Upper New York. In order to become at TOT, you must have completed the 3.5 hour basic training previously. 

• Saturday, March 1: registration opens February 1
• Saturday, October 4: registration opens September 1
