    Watch videos from Annual Conference 2016

    Did you miss out on the 2016 Upper New York Annual Conference (AC2016)? Or were you there and would love to listen to an inspiring message again? Now you can. There have several videos available of the various worship services as well as the leadership report.

    Approval was just granted to upload the videos of Rev. Adam Hamilton. Those videos will be available soon and notice will be sent out when they can be watched and downloaded.

    Click here to watch the Opening Worship video- Upper New York Area Resident Bishop Mark J. Webb introduced his AC2016 Opening Worship sermon, using the “table” as a metaphor of the foundation of faith God has equipped Upper New York Conference  members to follow the mission of United Methodist Christians: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. In order to live out this mission, Bishop Webb said that we need to remember that through Jesus Christ, we are chosen by God; and we also must remember that through Christ, we are given the power for the plan.

    Click here to watch Rev. Nola Anderson’s inspiring sermon at the Memorial Service- Crossroads District Superintendent the Rev. Nola Anderson spoke at the Memorial Service on June 2 at AC2016. Her sermon focused on the theme, “A Reason to Hope.”

    Click here to watch the Leadership Report video- On June 3, during a.m. plenary, the leadership report was given. The Rev. Bill Gottschalk-Fielding – Conference Director of Connectional Ministries and Executive Assistant to the Bishop and other leaders in the Conference spoke about the importance of leadership and showcased examples of various local churches that are doing an excellent job at developing leaders.

    Click here to the Celebration of Ministry Gala- June 3 ended with an electrifying Celebration of Ministry Gala, which mirrored the Academy Awards. This celebration, hosted by Cornerstone District Superintendent the Rev. Sherri Rood and Adirondack District Superintendent the Rev. Bill Mudge, included gold Bobble Webbs, musical transitions between recognitions, and envelopes with the names of those recognized, including 35 retirees.

    Click here to watch this Worship by Young People- On June 4, an early-morning worship service was led by young people. The overall message was to “DO something!”  And it included an incredible spoken word performance, inspiring music, and creative moments of reflection.

    Click here to watch the Service of Ordination and Commissioning- June 4 ended with this service, which includes a motivating sermon by Bishop Webb. Seven individuals were ordained and four individuals were commissioned.
