The Upper New York Conference is excited to welcome Joanna Feuer as the new Superintendency Administrative Assistant serving the Adirondack and Albany Districts. Joanna replaces Carrie Boyer, who retired at the end of August.
Joanna comes to this role with both strong administrative skills and a heart for The United Methodist Church. Most recently, she served as the Administrative Assistant at Newtonville United Methodist Church, where she supported the Rev. Dr. Nick Bufano, helped keep congregational life running smoothly, and brought creativity and care to everything from worship slides to building schedules.
She steps into this role already familiar with our churches, our connection, and our shared ministry. That experience, combined with her collaborative spirit and creative background makes her a great fit for this next chapter.
In her new role, Joanna will support the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl, clergy, and pastoral leaders in both the Adirondack and Albany Districts while working with the network of all Superintendency Administrative Assistants, helping keep communication flowing and ministry moving forward.
"I believe this will be a smooth transition, and Joanna is excited to get to know our churches, clergy, and other lay leaders as she takes on this role,” said Rev. Earthrowl.
Joanna holds a BA in theater performance from the University of Maryland and has worked in offices in New York City for more than a decade. She has a small farm which she maintains with her husband and can be heard singing at various venues throughout the Capital Region.
Please join us in celebrating Joanna and welcoming her to this important role—we’re so glad she’s here.
