UNY Mission Central HUB needs financial contributions to sustain its operations

The Upper New York (UNY) Mission Central HUB was made possible through a gift that Earlville UMC gave to the UNY Conference in 2017. The primary mission of the UNY Conference Mission Central HUB is to equip local Church and Conference leaders to be the “Hands and Feet of Jesus,” providing help and hope to people in times of distress and disaster.

Mike Block, UNY Director of Missional Engagement said, “We are incredibly grateful to those that have given to Upper New York Mission HUB. Your donations truly make a difference to those in need. Every day since opening, folks have had their lives changed because of the work through the UNY Mission Central HUB and through the Conference churches. Now, as things continue to evolve and change with COVID-19, the HUB’s work has grown exponentially.

The HUB has not been physically open every day through this pandemic but has been out in the community supporting the needs of many. While the way we do business has changed and our focus on connecting God’s resources with human need has been refined, our outcomes have not.”

Between 2019 and 2020 the UNY Mission Central HUB has directly connected over $80,000 in resources to over 3,000 plus people. This number does not consider all the churches and other organizations efforts that helped in their Districts. The HUB has been involved assisting churches in our Conference to start or support missions of all sorts, assisting in recovery efforts of the 2019 Halloween Storm in the Mohawk Valley, installing ramps in homes for those who are wheelchair-bound, working with other organizations who are changing lives to support difficult situations and many more activities. All this work is done with just one full-time employee one part-time employee and valued volunteers.

The UNY Mission Central HUB continues to receive cleaning and hygiene kit supplies for which they are very grateful and hope to continue to receive, but more than ever before, the UNY Mission Central HUB is in need of financial contributions in order to continue its operations.

Are you part of a church that has funds available to support the UNY Mission Central HUB? Outside of your Ministry Shares, can you be a part of keeping the important work of the UNY Mission Central HUB happening into the future? Are you an individual who can help the UNY Mission Central HUB financially, through either planned or estate giving?

If so, please send your check written out to UNYC with fund number # 951 written in the memo to UNYAC c/o finance department at 7481 Henry Clay Blvd. Liverpool, NY 13088 or click here to give a donation online.

Your donation will go directly toward the UNY HUB’s annual operational costs of $250,000.

Mike Block said, “Your donation will be put to work immediately and allow us to continue to have a direct impact on those in need now and into the future. We are funded solely through donations from various churches, businesses, individuals like you and other community-minded organizations.

Join the UNY Mission Central HUB today in their mission! Your gift can go a long way in helping us to connect God’s resources with human deed.
