Members of the Upper New York Conference Delegation to the General and Jurisdictional Conferences gathered at the United Methodist Center on Saturday Sept. 28. Those who were unable to be physically present had the option of participating remotely.

The morning was spent discussing how the delegation would continue to work together and learning about proposed changes to the clergy pension plan. The afternoon was spent planning their process for the potential Episcopal Candidates from UNY for vetting and then preparing for the NEJ gathering in July 2020 in Huntsville, MD. More information on the process will be made available soon.

The delegation greatly appreciates that they have been surrounded in prayer and supported in so many ways since they were elected at Annual Conference. They are accepting donations of maple candy to aid them in their work, but they especially request your continued prayer.

With more than 144,000 members, the Upper New York Annual (Regional) Conference of The United Methodist Church comprises 865 local churches and 91 new faith communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state. Our mission is to “live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God’s love with our neighbors in all places."
