    UNY Conference communications team reaps three awards at the 2021 UMAC Awards

    The 2021 United Methodist Associations of Communicators (UMAC) Annual Awards Gala took place virtually on Wednesday March 10 on Zoom. The theme of the gala was “Embracing Hope.”

    Each year, UMAC recognizes excellence in communication through an awards program, the United Methodist Association of Communicators Awards Contest. The contest recognizes excellence in print publications, digital publications, writing, internet communications, video production, audio, photography, visual design, publicity/advertising, and media presentations.

    This year’s UMAC Awards Contest considered communication material completed Nov. 1, 2019, to Oct. 31, 2020.

    The Upper New York (UNY) Communications Team won the following awards:

    - The most impressive award was First Place/Best in Class for Multi-Media Annual Conference/Local Church Division level under the Media Presentation Category for our COVID-19 response.     -The UNY electronic 2020 issue 3 of the Advocate (with the theme “Keeping Connected”) won Second Place for Electronic Special Publication, Section or Supplement Category, Annual Conference/Local Church Division

    - The UNY video campaign (videos: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) for Christmas in the HUB won Second Place for Single Piece Category, Annual Conference/Local Church Division in Publicity and Advertising

    We are also pleased to announce that GNTV, our vendor for the 2021 Annual Conference, also won many awards.
