New Esperance-Sloansville UMC youth group’s unique Valentine’s fundraiser

The Esperance-Sloansville UMC (ESUMC) has only recently started a youth group and they did an amazing job selling Valentine's Chocolates this month. It was their first activity to support their group that started last year with a youth group leader, Brandi Kerber.

The four children in the youth group did their first project with three parents. They sold 64 Valentine's Chocolates (chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered peanut butter balls, milk/dark chocolate rose pops and chocolate-covered chips), and they raised $256.00 for their future youth activities.

The church has been learning about how God has brought a new breath into such a significant ministry and raised up new leaders for new ministries!

With more than 100,000 members, United Methodists of Upper New York comprises of more than 675 local churches and New Faith Communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state. Our vision is to “live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God’s love with our neighbors in all places."
