Great things are happening at The Conference Council on Youth Ministry’s (CCYM) Sept. meeting

September 9, 2019 / By Kathryn Helms and Danny Gekonge

At the CCYM’s Sept. meeting, District Councils on Youth Ministry (DCYM) youth from all over New York State, including the districts of Genesee Valley, Niagara Frontier, Mountain View, Cornerstone, Oneonta, Mohawk, Albany, and Adirondack are working on their fall events.

Different districts have various information on what they know about their fall gatherings for sure. Here are some details that have been shared:

    • Genesee Valley will be holding theirs at Asbury UMC on Nov. 16
    • Niagara Frontier will be holding theirs during the winter season at a trampoline park
    •  Mountain View and Cornerstone are teaming up and holding theirs on Nov. 3
    • The Oneonta, Mohawk, Albany, and Adirondack districts are teaming up and will be hosting their event Nov. 8-9.

Everything is still in progress, but some districts like these are getting close to finishing their planning. We are also working very hard to bring upstate New York our largest event, Outward, this March. Stay tuned for future updates!

With more than 100,000 members, United Methodists of Upper New York comprises of more than 675 local churches and New Faith Communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state.
