From the Desk of Bishop Webb: District Superintendent appointments extended

Editor's Note: The following information was sent to the Upper New York Conference on June 16, 2022 on behalf of Bishop Webb.

    Dear Friends,

As we continue to mourn the loss of Genesee Valley District Superintendent Vonda Fossitt, we celebrate the life, ministry, and witness to Christ that she lived among us and the new life in Christ she now experiences. I know you join me in continuing to pray for Vonda’s family and friends.

After consultation with the Genesee Valley Committee on Superintendency, I am pleased to announce my intention to continue the appointment of the Reverend Ted Anderson as interim superintendent through June 30, 2023. I continue to be grateful for Ted’s willingness to offer his gifts, wisdom, knowledge of, and relationships within the Genesee Valley District and the Upper New York Conference during this time. He has and will continue to offer steady leadership among all of us.

I am also pleased to announce that after consultation with their respective District Committees on Superintendency, it is my intention to extend the Reverend Nola Anderson and the Reverend Abel Roy for an eighth year as Conference Superintendents in their respective districts.

The Upper New York Conference has been blessed by the leadership of Nola and Abel. Their sense of continued call to the ministry of superintendency – along with their gifts – will provide vital and consistent leadership within the work of the Cabinet, the life of the Conference, and in the Districts they serve.

Please continue to keep all these servants of Christ in your prayers.

    Blessings,

    Mark J. Webb
