    Cady Grant applications available

    January 14, 2020 / By Blenda Smith

Applications for the Ercil Cady Grant are available now through January 31, 2020.  Grant(s) of up to $5,000 may be awarded to individual United Methodists, local UM churches, or UNY district and conference ministry teams. As directed by the originator of the Ercil Cady Grant, priority shall be given to educational proposals that benefit minority groups or individuals.

Last year, the following exciting grants were awarded:

    • “Cultural Preservation through Indigenous Food” was a holistic, hands-on program to help urban & suburban Native Americans prioritize their culture and reconnect with their heritage through culturally relevant education.
    • “Intergenerational Martial Arts Program” was a four pronged initiate for all ages to encourage self-disciple, nutrition, exercise, faith development and academics.
    • “Youth 2019” was a grant to support one or more youth of color to attend Youth 2019.

Please consider other creative ways to use this grant. Click here the Cady Grant application. Applications are due Jan. 31, 2020. We apologize for the short application time is this year.
