Bishop Webb calls for prayers for the Buffalo area in wake of record snowfall

As the Buffalo area continues to deal with record snowfall, I thank you for your prayers for all affected as they move through this and offer support to neighbors. Other areas of Upper New York have also seen significant snow, and we pray for those residents as well.

Niagara Frontier District Superintendent the Rev. Wayne Butler has shared with me that there are about 25 congregations located in the areas most affected, and that all are safe and well. Presently, there has been no damage to church buildings and parsonages. We will communicate opportunities to meet practical needs that may become apparent going forward.

I have learned quickly that Upstate New York residents know how to deal with the reality of snow; but this is an historic event, and as more snow is predicted over the next few days, I know our sisters and brothers will cherish being surrounded by our prayers.
