Upper New York Annual Conference Scholarships and Grants
Applications for the Lottie Brown Grant are now available through March 15, 2021. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and limited staff working at the Conference office each day, it is highly recommended that all completed materials be sent electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Preference is given to those entering some form of Christian service. A statement of your faith journey and philosophy of life is given high consideration. All application materials for this scholarship must be postmarked by March 15, 2021. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. *Suggestion: If emailing application materials, documents sent in PDF are most likely to retain formatting. You will also need to give copies of the Membership Certification to your Pastor and the Recommendation Form to your other recommender. Forms and questions may be emailed to email@example.com.
Applications for the Ercil Cady Grant are available now through March 15, 2021. Grant(s) of up to $5,000 may be awarded to individual United Methodists, local UM churches, or Upper New York District and Conference ministry teams. As directed by the originator of the Ercil Cady Grant, grants will be given for the 'benefit or education of disadvantaged minority individuals, preferably blacks or American Indians."
