Conference Commission on Religion and Race (CCORR)
The purpose of the Conference Commission on Religion & Race (CCORR) is the same as the General Commission: “to challenge, lead, and equip the people of the United Methodist Church to become inter-culturally competent, to ensure institutional equity and to facilitate vital conversations about religion, race, and culture” (para. 2002). CCORR continues to invest time and resources in training, programs, tools, initiatives, and monitoring for diversity at annual conferences which enable Upper New York Conference to live more deeply into this reality.
CCORR members: Blenda Smith (Convener), Harold Wheat, Linda Hughes, Scott Johnson, Julius Archibald, Anola Archibald, Evelyn Woodring, Shirley Readdean, Beckie Sweet, Georgia Whitney, Aaron Moore, Sandra Allen, Charles Syms, Carrie Wolfe, Pam Burns, Teressa Sivers, and Rachael Jordan.
