The Spring Conference Youth Event, OUTWARD!, will be held on Friday - Sunday, April 5-7, 2019, at the Liverpool Holiday Inn.

The cost of the event is $70 per person, which covers the registration fee and includes a T-shirt. Please have the requested sizes of T-shirts available when you register youth and adults. The cost of rooms (up to five persons per room) is $115 per night.

Kenny John- Friday night
Kenny John is a past member of the Conference Council on Youth Ministries in the former Troy Conference. Kenny grew up just outside of Albany, in the town of Delmar. After graduating from Bethlehem Central High School, he attended the University of Vermont, where he studied Molecular Genetics and worked as an EMT on the UVM Rescue Squad. He will be graduating from Penn State College of Medicine this May and starting his residency in Anesthesiology in July. In June, he will be marrying the love of his life, Lillian, who he met at a CCYM meeting in 2008. During his free time, Kenny likes playing basketball and golf, as well as cooking and eating all kinds of delicious food.
Gavin Hill- Saturday morning
Gavin Hill is junior in high school. He lives in Eden, right outside of Buffalo. He is a three-sport athlete, competing in cross country, basketball, and track & field. He is the co-president of the Future Business Leaders of America club, and plays in his school's pit orchestra. Gavin is an active member of the CCYM. After high school, Gavin plans on applying to Cairn University in Philadelphia. At Cairn, Gavin will run on their cross country and track team and plans to major in pastoral ministries. After college, he dreams of becoming a pastor and also competing in running events wherever possible. His main goal in life is to be a true disciple of Jesus so that he can help others become disciples. He also wants to use the Word of the Lord to make an impression on the people around him.
Rev. Dr. Sung Ah Choi- Sunday morning
The Rev. Dr. Sung Ah Choi is currently the pastor at Marcellus United Methodist Church in the Crossroads District. She was born and raised in a Methodist family in South Korea. Rev. Choi came to the United States in 2001 to study church social work and theology. She completed her Master of Social Work studies at Roberts Wesleyan College in 2003 and her Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School in 2008. She obtained her doctorate in social welfare from SUNY Albany in 2018. Rev. Choi is a social worker and social work researcher committed to empowering the voiceless and powerless in our community. She is a passionate worshipper and faithful intercessory pray-er. Rev. Choi and her husband, Jun Ho, have a five-year old daughter named Eden. Her two siblings are Methodist missionaries working in Malawi in Southern Africa. Her favorite bible verse is John 17:4, "I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you have me to do."
