Experience an afternoon of music and movement at the Indigenous Peoples Concert on Sunday, November 2 at 3 p.m. at Ganondagan: Seneca Art and Culture Center at 7000 County Road 41, Victor, NY. The E-Yah-Pah-Hah Wind Quintet will honor Indigenous classical composers Louis Ballard (Cherokee/Quapaw), Dawn Avery (Mohawk), and Laurence Tallman (Onondaga). The program also features two contemporary Indigenous dance films with commentary: Spirit Woman, performed by Daystar/Rosalie Jones at the 1980 Stand Rock Indian Ceremonial, and Dances for Joanne, choreographed to the music of Joanne Shenandoah (Oneida). The concert is free, with donations gratefully accepted, and is funded by the Committee on Native American Ministries of the United Methodists of Upper New York.
