    Sessions Team continues work on Annual Conference 2020

    On Tuesday, Dec. 10 the Sessions Team gathered at the United Methodist Center in Liverpool to continue their work of planning for the 2020 session of the Upper New York Annual Conference.     Upper New York Imagine No Racism through preaching contest

    Early in the New Year, Jan. 15-Feb. 29, 2020, the Upper New York Conference Commission on Religion and Race (CCORR) will welcome submissions of sermons designed to call out and dismantle racism. A panel of judges will recognize the sermon that most effectively engages and motivates listeners to imagine and build a world free of racism.     The UNY mission carried out through potatoes

    This past fall, The Society of St. Andrew with the help of over 100 volunteers distributed well over 150,000 pounds of potatoes throughout Upper New York with potato drops at Rose UMC, Endwell UMC, Boonville UMC, and the UNY United Methodist Center. Over 40,000 pounds of potatoes were dropped at the UNY Methodist Center’s Mission Central HUB and area food pantries, churches, non-profits, families, and individuals came to pick them up. …more

    UNY ERT and volunteers give hope to Mohawk District storm survivors

    Almost a month after the Halloween storm and subsequent Sauquoit creek flooding throughout the Mohawk District, many residents are still without heat, water, or electricity. Over 100 residents experienced flood waters that filled their basements from floor to ceiling and up to the top of the floorboards or higher on the first floor.
