    Discover...Mission Young Adult Mission Journey
    July 3-12, 2021

UMVIM-NEJ is working with the Upper New York Young Adult Council to develop the next Discover...Mission young adult mission journey. The group plans to serve with the Blackfeet United Methodist Parish in Browning, Montana on the Blackfeet Reservation. The dates will be July 3-12, 2021. Each participant (aged 18-30) will be trained as an UMVIM Team Leader, engage in cultural immersion, and work on projects identified by Blackfeet leaders. There will be an opportunity to experience North American Indian Days, an annual celebration on the reservation, and to visit Glacier National Park nearby. Cost before scholarships is approximately $1400. All plans are subject to change according to public health necessities. Applications are forthcoming.

With more than 144,000 members, the Upper New York Annual (Regional) Conference of The United Methodist Church comprises 865 local churches and 91 new faith communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state. Our mission is to “live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God’s love with our neighbors in all places."
