    2019 Mohawk Valley Disaster Recovery

On October 31, 2019 a rain storm flooded parts of the Mohawk Valley. The storm lasted over 36 hours. The resulting rain and lack of runoff abilities resulted in massive flooding challenges within 12 counties. After 72 days, the first step in recovery (ERT) finished.

The next step started to organize the Long Term Recovery Process (LTR). This process may take six to eight months to complete. Teams are being scheduled to support the survivors' request. Please use the following links to obtain the necessary forms:

With more than 144,000 members, the Upper New York Annual (Regional) Conference of The United Methodist Church comprises 865 local churches and 91 new faith communities in 12 districts, covering 48,000 square miles in 49 of the 62 counties in New York state. Our mission is to “live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God’s love with our neighbors in all places."
