This will be a mixed team for economic recovery and small church support. Activities will include construction and maintenance support at the Hinton Center as well as projects in the community. One of the community sites will be the Reach Thrift Store which helps to support the Reach Domestic Violence and Homeless shelters in the area. Other projects to help people in the community will be developed by the Hinton Center.

Skye Farm Forestry Project

This work project at Skye Farm is another effort of the UNYC VIM leadership to provide local opportunities around the Conference to work together. While the primary focus is relationship building, the work focus is on tree felling and brush cleanup around camp. Ten participants will be able to enroll in the "Percision Felling Techniques" Level I course http://www.woodlandtraining.com for Friday. Limits: Each forming conference is limited to three registrants for the class, until March 10. If ten people are not registered, people will be called from a waiting list in the order that they were put on it to fill the class. An additional six people not taking the class can be accomodated. Cost: $50 includes five meals, lodging, and instruction. Lodging: Ogden and Shippey Lodges at Skye Farm Retreat Center http://skyefarmcamp.viviti.com/ (Bring your own towels and linens.) Note: April 8 arrival can be arranged.
