Is God Calling Someone You Know?

Someone you know thinks they might be called into ministry, or you sense that someone you know is called to ministry.

Here are a few steps you can take to help him or her on her spiritual journey:

1. Direct them toward the "Is God Calling You" website.
2. Give the inquiring person a copy of The Christian as Minister to read (copies available from your district office. Check with your district office as some district superintendents like to meet with a candidate before they start the Ministry Inquiry Process).
3. Talk with them about what they have read.
4. Guide them as they work through the Ministry Inquiry Process (available from Cokesbury or from your District Superintendent).
5. Assist the candidate in an appointment with the district superintendent, who will help them to get the materials for Candidacy and assign them a Candidacy Mentor (a trained elder or deacon).
