Ministry Resources

Interfaith Families, Dovetail Institute. Institute for Interfaith Families offers resources on intermarriage to interfaith couples, whether they're looking for help in planning interfaith weddings, dealing with partner issues in their interfaith marriages, facing the challenges of raising an interfaith family, or coping with interfaith relationships in their extended families. The organization holds that no one path is right for everyone, whether in Catholic, Protestant or Jewish intermarriage, or some other interfaith marriage situation. It aims to help interfaith families make the choices that are right for them. It publishes a journal, hosts conferences, publishes books, provides information on interfaith organizations, and provides resources for significant times in an interfaith family’s life.

Marriage & Engaged Encounter promotes and encourages marriage and family life by offering Marriage Encounter weekends and a support community. It aims to enable married couples to discover God's vision of marriage and family life and spiritual diversity, thereby leading them to a clearer understanding of their relationship with each other and with God and to help couples preparing for marriage.

Stephen Ministries is a St. Louis-based program of congregational care. In 1975 Rev. Kenneth C. Haugk, Ph.D., a pastor and clinical psychologist, saw that people’s needs for care in his congregation and community far exceeded what he alone could provide. He developed materials to train nine of his congregation members to provide quality, one-to-one Christian care to individuals experiencing a life crisis. Upon completion of their training, he commissioned them as "Stephen Ministers" and linked them with people with a variety of needs for care. Dr. Haugk then founded the Stephen Ministries organization and developed the Stephen Series, which now has been implemented in more than 8,000 congregations representing more than 100 Christian denominations.
