Christian Education: Teaching and Learning
People learn in many different ways. There are a variety of ways that adult or children's Sunday school teachers or small group leaders can organize a class or program. Following are some curriculum resources:
- Workshop Rotation Model, developed by Neil MacQueen in Workshop Rotation: A New Model for Sunday School (Presbyterian Publishing Corp., 2000), retells the major stories of the Bible in different ways. It recognizes that youngsters not only love repetition, but they need it to develop a lasting memory and understanding of content. The "multi-intelligences" approach is calculated to take advantage of our student's God-given thirst for multi-modal learning.
