Spiritual Director Training

Troy Conference’s Spiritual Director Training,"Tending the Soul," is an academic and experiential experience in the art of spiritual formation and direction.  Participants covenant to meet together for six learning retreats over the course of two years.  This program offers formation training for one-on-one or congregational spiritual formation and direction.  Verbatim, small group work and at-home study are expected in addition to the retreats.  Tending the Soul is led by Rev. Wendy J. Miller. A new series of retreats began in November 2009. United Methodist laity and clergy from Troy, Wyoming, New England, Western New York, or Central New York Annual Conferences are participating in the program. The application period has ended. Stay tuned for what the future may hold for this program in the Upper New York and New England Annual Conferences. Contact Evie Doyon, Faith Development Coordinator.
