Rev. William Mudge was officially welcomed as the Adirondack District Superintendent during a moving ceremony at the First United Methodist Church in Ticonderaga, NY on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Upper New York Area Resident Bishop Marcus Matthews handed him the crozier, the official symbol of the episcopal office, reminding him of his obligation as the leader of the Adirondack District in the Upper New York Annual Conference.

Upper New York Area Resident Bishop Dr. Marcus Matthews visited Adirondack and Albany districts on Sunday and Monday as part of his tour of all the 12 districts in the area.
Bishop Matthews began his tour in the Adirondack District on Sunday by meeting the laity at Ticonderoga United Methodist Church in Ticonderoga.
On Monday morning, Bishop Matthews met with the Adirondack District clergy at Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church in Saratoga Springs.

Former District Superintendent The Rev. Robert F. Trost died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 in Averill Park, NY.
Rev. Trost served Grace UMC - Troy, NY; First UMC - Cohoes, NY; St. James UMC - Cohoes, NY; Saratoga Springs UMC; and Pine Grove UMC. He also served as the Bennington-Troy District Superintendent in the former Troy Conference.
