Parking at Empire State Plaza

The Empire State Plaza will be the site of the Adjourned Session of the Upper New York Annual Conference on Saturday, Sept. 11, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with an outdoor service of remembrance for the victims of 9/11 on the Plaza. Download a map of the Plaza.
Session will open at 9:30 a.m. at the Convention Hall, located beneath The Egg on the Concourse Level of Empire State Plaza. Download a map of the Concourse Level.
Located in downtown Albany, the Plaza is just west of I-787 between I-87 South and I-90. The Rev. Steve Butler, a member of the Session Hospitality Team, recommends that attendees use I-787 and exit on the ramp to Empire Plaza, get in the right lane and look for Visitor’s Parking on Level P-3.
The lot is located beneath Empire State Plaza and accessed through I-787 Empire State Plaza exit. Parking is $5, but visitors are required to show photo identification upon entry and all vehicles are subject to search by the State Police.
Those arriving by bus will be dropped off at the bus turnaround located on Madison Avenue or State Street. For detailed information bus parking, click here.
Wearing bright gold T-shirts with the Session logo of two hands holding a heart, members of the Upper New York Hospitality Team will greet attendees at all three elevator banks in the Visitor Lot and at strategic points along the Concourse and Plaza levels.
Handicapped access is available, but due to renovations, the elevator at Madison Avenue is closed. Download a map with information about handicap access.

From the North

Take Interstate I-87 (Northway) to Interstate I-90 East (exit # 1E). Take Interstate I-90 East to Interstate 787 South. Take Exit #3A for the Empire State Plaza.

Take New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) to Exit 23 - straight through Toll Booth to Interstate 787, then take Exit #3 for the Empire State Plaza.

From the East

Take Interstate 90 West to Exit # B1 (I-90). Continue on I-90 to Interstate 787 South. Follow I-787 South to Exit #3A for the Empire State Plaza.

Take the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) to Exit 24 (Albany), proceed east on Interstate 90 to Interstate 787 South. Take exit # 3A for the Empire State Plaza.
