Giving Tuesday sets single-day giving record

Total giving to the Upper New York Conference’s Africa 360 campaign on Giving Tuesday set a new single-day giving record. With the generous matching funds from the UNY Cabinet, $16,120 was raised on Dec. 1. Of that total, $8,060 was given by Conference-wide donors and that same amount was donated by members of Cabinet.

“We think this is the most given on a single day of focused giving,” said Laurel O’Connor, Field Coordinator for Africa 360. “We can celebrate that! I am so humbled by the generosity of our neighbors in Upper New York.” The top three districts in terms of giving were the Northern Flow, Finger Lakes, and Crossroads districts. “But giving doesn’t stop on Tuesday,” O’Connor said. “Check with your local church on how to give to Africa 360, or give online anytime.”
