AC2015 Event Guidelines
EVENT GUIDELINES FOR ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2015
Parking will be in the OnCenter Garage, accessible from both Harrison and State Streets. Cost of parking will be $5 per car per day paid by the participant. In addition, there are free shuttles from the “city” hotels as noted on the hotel registration form. A shuttle schedule – in coordination with the Conference agenda -- will be posted at a later date. The shuttles will drop passengers at the entrance doors to the OnCenter and may be a better option for those with mobility issues.
There will be a Hospitality Team to assist attendees in exiting the shuttle and getting into the sessions room. Wheelchairs will be available.
REGISTRATION: Balloting devices and packets will be distributed in Gallagher Hall of the OnCenter starting at 7:30 am on Wednesday, May 27. CLERGY PLEASE NOTE that a ballot will be taken during Clergy Session so please allow time prior to the start of Clergy Session to register and pick up your balloting device.
CLERGY/LAITY SESSIONS: These sessions will be held on the morning of Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the OnCenter with both sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m. Participants should plan ahead to be in their seats and ready to start at 9:30. Lunch will be served following these sessions. CLERGY SESSION WILL BE IN EXHIBIT HALL A (main session room) AND LAITY SESSION WILL BE IN THE BALLROOM (lower level).
ANNUAL CONFERENCE: Begins at 1:30 p.m. with Opening Worship in Exhibit Hall A of the OnCenter with Bishop Mark Webb preaching.
MEALS: Meals provided with your registration will be served in the room adjacent to the main meeting room. Meals included in your registration fee are as follows:
- Wednesday Lunch
- Wednesday Dinner
- Thursday Lunch
- Thursday Dinner
- Friday Lunch
- Friday Dinner
- Saturday Lunch
We are well aware of the varied and critical dietary needs of our participants. The menus are published with the registration materials and we will make every effort to be sensitive to allergies and other restrictions.
Cokesbury will be present and has exclusive rights to sell books at the Annual Conference. They will be located in the Exhibit Hall B Alcove next to the room in which meals are served, main level. The Display Room will be in the lower level Ballroom Atrium of the OnCenter. Space is extremely limited as we require most of the OnCenter’s available space for workshops, meals and childcare.
Child Care will be offered on the lower level during all official Conference Sessions. There will be a FEE TO UTILIZE CHILD CARE this year. (See registration form) Families MUST pre-register for this service on the registration form and provide information about their children so that appropriate numbers of child care providers can be secured, and appropriate equipment provided.
