Be the Church!

Niagara Frontier District, April 3, 2011

The purpose of the day is:

·        To experience the joy of serving our neighbors, just for the love of it!

·        To show the community the power of faith in action!

·        To experience a different kind of Sunday ‘worship’

The purpose of the day is NOT:

·        To advertise church functions

·        To do projects that benefit ourselves

·        To do church as usual

SO…

·        Consult with your community about their needs

·        Pick a project (or two, or three)

·        Plan to wear church hats or T-shirts

·        Let the District Office know your plan (so we can inspire each other and so we can coordinate some media coverage)

·        Connect with neighboring churches and plan a pot-luck and post-project party!

·        Involve those who cannot go out to serve as prayer-partners and supper-hosts
