A residential Local Pastor Licensing School for the Upper New York Conference will be held at Camp Asbury near Perry, NY. The first session will be held from Monday morning November 7, 2011through early afternoon Friday, November 11. The second session will be held from February 6 through February 10, 2012. Students must attend all of both sessions in order to successfully complete the course. The Albany District is hosting a HANDS4NY Youth Summit for youth 14 and older, who will learn about hunger by working directly with the hungry.
The event includes mission work as well as information offered by various presenters.
The young people who participate in this event will be helping prepare food packages for distribution from local and regional food banks. A New Faith Community Development Gathering for training, understanding and imagining possibilities for a healthy future is planned for March 2-3 at the Casowasco Camp & Retreat Center, Moravia. This is a 24-hour intensive event with three main sessions and additional focused breakout sessions.
