First, figure out where Alplaus is (between Glenville and Rexford on the north shore of the Mohawk River opposite Schenectady). From the north, south, or east, take Northway (I-87) exit 8A and head west on Grooms Road. At Rte. 146 (Stewart's on right) go straight ahead 1.3 miles. About 0.2 miles beyond the firehouse, go left on Brookside Ave. to #1 on left. From the west, take I-890 off the Thruway. Exit at Erie Boulevard. Follow Erie across the Freeman's Road bridge. Take your next right on Maple Ave, then your next right on Alplaus Ave. When you cross the little bridge, Brookside Ave. is on your right. The church is at #1.
