In Flight

I've had the pleasure this week during the Bishop's District Days of sharing some reflections on how our new conference is taking shape.  Today I was at the Jonesville UMC in Clifton Park. Yesterday I was at the Saratoga Springs UMC.  Both days were great.  I appreciate the good conversation and the chance to meet new folks.

During my sharing time, I talked about the experience of viewing a commercial for a consulting firm which portrayed what it would be like if we built airplanes in flight, with passengers already on board! (Click here to see the commercial).  As I was watching this commercial, I said to myself, "I'm living this experience!" 

And so are you, fellow UNYAC member!  We are building the Upper New York Annual Conference in flight. We are creating community, developing structures and launching new ministries as we go.  For most of us, this is a new experience.
